KAYLA FAITH GARCIA EDINBURG – Kayla Faith Garcia, 2, was granted her angel wings on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Edinburg Children’s Hospital. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, which she had touched in some small way throughout her short yet very memorable life. Kayla’s life would seem too short to many, but to those who were touched by her, understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her bright smile would always seem to melt the hearts of those around her. Kayla led everyone to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. With her passing, we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her greatly every day, she will forever remain in our hearts and lives. Kayla is survived by her parents, Suhai and Reyes Garcia, III of Edinburg; a brother, Reyes Christian Garcia; maternal-grandparents, Consuelo and Rogelio Moralez, both of San Carlos; paternal-grandparents, Maria Alicia Garcia of Elsa and Reyes Garcia, Jr. of McAllen; three aunts, Silvia Moralez, Belinda Gonzalez, Ashley Garcia; four uncles, Alex Moralez, Roel (Maria) Moralez, Roy (Sofia) Moralez, and Danny (Nora) Garcia; numerous cousins, Donald Walk, Jr., Silvina Walk, Kandon Dortch, Roel Moralez, Jr., Angel Moralez, Melanie Moralez, Ryan Moralez, Natalie Moralez, Rebecca Gonzalez, AJ Olivares, and Daniel Salinas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
