SAN JUAN - Maria Del Rosario Garcia, 78, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Rosario had lived in San Juan for 42 years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Candelaria Campos.
Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Antonio Garcia; five children, Martha Alicia (Ascencion) Torres, Marco Antonio (Gloria) Garcia, Sylvia Leticia (Jose Felix) Reyna, Rosa Imelda (Arnulfo) Cortez, Aracely (Silverio) Ramos; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Hilda Campos, Ricardo Campos, Imelda Campos, Lydia Guzman, Ignacio Aguirre.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, December 24, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
