MARIA GUADALUPE “LUPITA” GARCIA
PHARR- Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Garcia, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Congregacion Garza, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Lupita had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
Lupita is preceded in death by her husband, Victor R. Garcia; her parents, Aurelio Reyna and Consuelo Vasquez Reyna; a sister, Rosa Maria Garcia; two brothers, Arnoldo Reyna and Abelito Reyna.
Mrs. Garcia is survived by four children, Francisco Roberto (Mary) Garcia of Houston, Jaime Roel Garcia, Hugo Reuben (Karen) Garcia, Laura R. (Joe) Torres , all of Pharr; ten grandchildren, Yvonne Richardson, Elizabeth Dewees, Jaime Victor Garcia, Victoria Anette Garcia, Cristian Roel Garcia, Joseph Anthony Garcia, Jonathan Arthur Garcia, James Alexander Garcia, San Juanita Vianney Torres, Francisco Enoch Torres; and five siblings, Antonia Escamilla, Alejandro Reyna, Aurelio Reyna, all of Reynosa, Josefina Martinez and Abel Reyna, both of McAllen.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, December 25, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 26, 2015, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
