ALAMO/SAN ANTONIO – Orlando Garcia, 26, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2011 in San Antonio.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Orlando was formerly of Alamo and had lived in San Antonio. He was attending Our Lady of The Lake University in San Antonio.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Garcia and his paternal grandparents.
Orlando is survived by his mother, Delia Elva Garcia; step-father, Alejandro Martinez; a sister, Christina Garcia; two brothers, Alejandro Garcia, Reynaldo Javier Garcia; maternal grandparents, Reynaldo and Maria Luisa Garcia, all of Alamo; two uncles, Ricardo (Norma) Garcia, of Phoenix, Arizona, Reynaldo (Marisela) Garcia, of Alamo, and one aunt, Gina Garcia, of Michigan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
