OTILO GARCIA EDINBURG - Otilo Garcia, 79, died Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Rio Grande City, Mr. Garcia had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otilo Sr. and Eulalia S. Garcia; a grandson, Issiah Alexander; and a granddaughter, Cindy Lee. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Grabiela T. Garcia; eight children, Mary (Ruben) De Leon, of Palmhurst, Juanita Garcia, Diana (Mario) Pena, both of Edinburg, Otilo Garcia Jr., of Vernon, Texas, Pablo J. (Susan) Garcia, of Austin, Lupe (Letty G.) Garcia, of Edinburg, Tony Garcia, of Denton, Amy J. (Alex) Reyes, of Tracy, California; fourteen grandchildren, Ruben Jr. (Jodi), Rebecca, Loria, Stephanie (Lorenzo), Mario Jr. (Gabby), Isaiah, Maria Elena, Matilda, Victor, Alexander, Bianca, Krista (Roel), David and Lucas; and five great-grandchildren, Precious, Calvin, Amber, Abby and Adrian. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 3, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ruben De Leon Jr., Mario Pena Jr., Isaiah Pena, David Garcia, Alexander Garcia and Victor Garcia. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
