MISSION - Paz Sunga Garcia, 95, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Arbor View Rehabilitation Nursing Center in McAllen.
Born in Manila, Philippines, Mrs. Garcia had lived in Mission since 1980. She was a member of St.Paul's Catholic Church in Mission.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Garcia; and a brother, Carlos Sunga.
Mrs. Prudencio is survived by two daughters, Marilou (Napoleon) Prudencio, Lulu Garcia (Richard) Garrett, both of Mission; and close families, Librada Prudencio, of Evanston, Illinois, Sunga, Garcia, Espiritu and Garrett Families.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, November 29, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, November 30, 2009, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
