Plinio Emilio Garcia

PLINIO EMILIO GARCIA SAN JUAN – Plinio Emilio Garcia, 82, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Comfort House in McAllen. Born in San Juan, he had lived there all of his life. Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by two children, Melissa Guzman and Arturo Garcia; his parents, Juan and Mercedes Garcia; and four sisters. Plinio is survived by his wife, Maria E. Garcia of San Juan; 10 children, Sylvia (Arturo) Perez, Juan Angel (Elva) Garcia both of McAllen, Plinio Emilio (Lydia) Garcia Jr., Gustavo (Gracie) Garcia, Oscar (Geraldine) Garcia, Noe A. (Claudia) Garcia, all of San Juan, David (Anna) Garcia, Marina Zenil both of Pharr, Thelma (Juan) Martinez of Alamo, and Ruben (Maribel) Garcia of Edinburg; 36 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jesus Guzman; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
