EDINBURG – Reynaldo Garcia, 69, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edinburg, Mr. Garcia proudly served the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Celestina Garcia; three brothers, Emilio Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Jr.; and a sister, Alicia Ramirez.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Guadalupe E. Garcia of Edinburg; two children, Ray Lewis (Lauri) Garcia of Houston and Ronnie Lee Garcia of Edinburg; two step-daughters, Claudia Torres and Patricia Torres, both of Mexico; six step-grandchildren, Andrea, Luis, Daniella, Stephanie, Allison, and Alfredo, Jr.; two brothers, Robert (Olga) Garcia and Ramiro (Genoveva) Garcia, both of Edinburg; five sisters, Elia (Sam) Mata of Houston, Olga Mendoza of San Juan, Belinda (Joe) Loza of Mission, Elva (Jose) Garcia of San Juan, Minerva Garcia of Edinburg; and a sister-in-law, Olga Garcia of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
