EDINBURG - Antonio Manuel "Tony" Garcia Sr., 87, entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at his residence after battling various underlying conditions.
Tony was born on April 25, 1933, in Tacubaya, Texas to the late Guadalupe (Luna) and Antonio Manuel Garcia. He served in the US Army as a paratrooper, June 3, 1953, through May 9, 1955. He was a devoted skilled welder, at Cactus Iron Works for over 30 years. His love for the outdoors was astounding. Tony loved watching his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and always looked forward to their casino trips. He then retired to enjoy his time at home with his "sidekick," grandma. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren and creating memories to last a lifetime. Tony will be greatly missed.
