AURORA GARZA
PHARR – Aurora Garza, 76, died Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Born in Pharr, Mrs. Garza had lived there all of her life and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. She was employed as a cafeteria manager for P-SJ-A ISD for 29 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Garza Jr.; a sister, Josefina Lopez; and two brothers, Ricardo Ramirez and Alfredo Ramirez.
Mrs. Garza is survived by six children, Juan R. (Amanda) Garza, of Utah, Raul Garza, of Pharr, Raquel Garza, of McAllen, Estela (Victor) Salazar, of Mission, Leticia (Edualdo) Bazan, of Edinburg, Norma L. Rodriguez, of San Juan; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Jesus Ramirez, of San Juan; and a sister, San Juanita Ramirez, of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 10, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
