DANIEL GARZA, JR. EDINBURG — Daniel Garza Jr., 48, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in McAllen, he had lived in Edinburg for 22 years and was formerly of Pharr. Daniel’s passions were fishing and hunting. He loved to bbq and enjoyed watching wrestling on Monday and Thursday evenings. He is preceded in death by a son, Jose Daniel Garza; his parents, Daniel and Juanita Garza. Daniel is survived by his wife, Carmen Garza; a daughter, K. Daniella Garza, both of Edinburg; a brother, Gabriel Garza, of McAllen; and two sisters, Elisa Roman, of Edinburg and Graciela De La Rosa, of South Dakota. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, and from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 am. Monday, May 25, 2015, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
