DAVID GARZA EDINBURG - David Garza, 52, died on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. David was born in Mission, but lived in Edinburg most of his life. He enjoyed attending mass with his mother at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. He always was willing to help his brothers and sisters with anything they needed, and he donated his time to charity. He is preceded in death by his father, Felix V. Garza; nephew, Felix Garza III. David is survived by his three children; Savannah Garza of Michigan, Nathan and Deidra Garza both of Alamo; one grandson, DeMario Solis of Alamo; his mother, Amelia Garza of Edinburg; eleven brothers and sisters, Felix (Adelina) Garza of Edinburg, Herlinda (Hernan) Moreno of Houston, Robert (Rachel) Garza of Edinburg, Hector Garza of Bandera, TX, Jorge Luis Garza, Alma R. Garza both of Edinburg, Juan Manuel Garza of Houston, Diana (Beto) Cavazos of Edinburg, Raymond (Belinda) Garza of Mission, Rene (Vicenta) Garza of Oceola, Iowa, and Nancy Lee (Dave) Lewin of Houston; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, June 25, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions to be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund 1302 E. Champion St. Edinburg, TX 78539. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
