Elfego Garza

ELFEGO GARZA DONNA — Elfego Garza went home to be with the Heavenly Father on May 21, 2015 at the age of 66. He was surrounded by his family as the Lord lifted his spirit to go to heaven. He was born on November 15, 1948 in La Gavia, San Carlos, Tamaulipas to Leonso and Maria Garza (Ramirez). Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Josue, Eliud, Arnulfo and Aaron Garza. He was married to his loving wife of 42 years, Socorro Cavazos, and was a loving father of five children, Ninfa (Aristeo), Elfego Jr. (Clemencia), Edina (Marko), Febe (Esteban), and Aaron (Abigail). Elfego had many grandchildren who he loved and adored deeply. He is also survived by four brothers, Leonso, Samuel, Daniel and Felipe Garza; and five sisters, Ninfa, Rosalva, Ludy, Margarita and Alma Garza. He was a loving, caring, hardworking father who loved the outdoors as he enjoyed walking and maintaining his garden. His devotion to his family and faith in God provided comfort and support to his family as he was preparing to join God in Heaven. He will truly be missed by everyone who loved him and we thank the Lord for the many years that he provided us with Elfego. A prayer service was held Friday, May 22, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. today, May 23, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
