SAN JUAN - Eugenia G. Garza, 95, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at San Juan Nursing Home.
Born in Rio Grande City, Texas, Mrs. Garza lived in San Juan all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Praxedis Garza, Sr.; four sons, Praxedis Garza Jr., Paulino Garza, Reyes Garza, and Pedro Garza.
Mrs. Garza is survived by two daughters, Eugenia (Alfredo) Garcia, of Alamo, Maria A. (Abel) Solis, of Donna; two sons, Antonio (Betty Lou) Garza, of Pharr, Raul (Mary) Garza, of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 1, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home, 311 E. Expressway 83, San Juan, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, 216 West 1st Street, San Juan, Texas. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
