ISRAEL ROMEO GARZA LINN - Israel Romeo Garza, 75, died Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born in Anzaldua, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Garza had lived in Linn most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Praxedis and Narcisa Garza; and a sister, Oralia Cantu. Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Garza, of Linn; four children, Rodney (Dava) Garza, of Denton, Israel (Sharon) Garza Jr., Lupita (Jorge) Garza, Luis (Claudia) Garza, all of Austin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Homero Garza, Praxides Garza, both of Edinburg; and six sisters, Dominga Solis, of Detroit, Michigan, Juanita Candanoza, of Washington, Maria Trevino, of Mission, Reyna Carillo, Olga Vega, and Irma Garcia, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, April 2, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place in Austin, TX at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
