Santiago Garza Jr.

Santiago Garza, Jr., 88 of Delmita, TX passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Nursing Home in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Julia T. Garza; a daughter, Gloria Esparza, and a son Leonzo Garza.
Santiago is survived by his two daughters, Idalia (Grace Vargas) Garza of McAllen and Nidia (Emily Mendiola) Garza of Edinburg; a brother, Luis Lopez of San Isidro; a sister, Francisca Garza Cisneros of Refugio; five grandchildren, Ricardo Esparza III, Derek (Ilse) Esparza, Ashley Marie (David) Villarreal, Leonzo Garza, Jr., and Jose Ricardo Garza; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Graveside services of cremated remains will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Julia C. Trevino Cemetery in Puerto Rico, TX.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
