PHARR - Julian M. Garza, 89, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at his residence in Pharr.
Born in Villa De Santiago, N.L., Mexico, Mr. Garza had lived in Pharr most of his life. He enjoyed his life alongside his wife, children, many grandchildren, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Francisca Garza; and a daughter, Esthela Villalobos.
Mr. Garza is survived by seven children, Gabriel (Olga) Garza, Leonor (Rosendo) Vega, Hilario (Marcy) Garza, Leticia (Hector) Zuniga and Chris Lash, all of Pharr, Enrique (Anita) Garza of Conroe, Texas, Julian (Maria) Garza, Jr. of Riverside, California; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Roque Garza of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 at La Capilla Del Senor, 431 E. Egly in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
