Ramona Garza Lopez

Ramona G. Lopez, 87, passed on to be with our Lord February 26, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1933, in Edinburg, TX. For 64 years she resided in Houston, TX, and lived the remainder of her time in Edinburg.
Ramona was a strong, self-sufficient, and determined woman whose passion was to help people find their own strength and place in this world.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Lopez; her parents, Alfonso and Isabel Garza; two brothers, Teodoro Garza and Vicente Garza; and a sister, Diana Garza.
Ramona is survived by six children, Felix (Ly) Navarro of Canada, Raquel (Roberto) Garza of Edinburg, Thelma Gonzales of San Antonio, Anthony DeLeon and Abelino DeLeon, both of Houston, and Arthur (Dianne) DeLeon of CA; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Emma Aldrete of San Antonio, Elvira (Arthur Joe) Douglas of NC, David Garza of MO, and Tomas (Eva) Garza of Houston.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. Memorial Service Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
