EDINBURG - Maria Marcelina Garza, 87, died Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Salinas, San Luis Potosi, MX, Mrs. Garza had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan B. Garza.
Mrs. Garza is survived by a sister, Dolores Delgado of Zacatecas, MX; three nieces, Maria Isabel Ramirez, Maria Irene Gutierrez, Juana I. Gutierrez; and three nephews, Miguel (Natalia) Gutierrez, Miguel Gutierrez, Jr. and Victor Hugo Gutierrez, all of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. A memorial mass will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
