MARTINA GARZA
EDINBURG – Martina Garza, 85, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Nacogdoches, Texas, Mrs. Garza had lived in Edinburg all of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Pedro Garza; a son, Noe Garza; two grandchildren, Leana De Leon, Leann De Leon; her parents, Carlos and Teresa Flores; four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her seven children, Modesta (Noe) Ramos, Maria Teresa Salinas, Ofelia (Alberto) Ramos, Pedro (Estela) Garza, Jr., Esmeralda (Gregorio) Garcia, Linda (Alfredo) Guerrero, Irma (Jesus) Alvarado; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren all of Edinburg; a brother, Fidencio Flores of California and a sister, Eulalia Chavez of Pharr.
A rosary was held Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, October 15, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be Noe Ramos, Rogelio Salinas, Alberto Ramos, Pete Garza, Greg Garcia, Jr., Manuel De Leon and Jesús Alvarado, Jr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
