ROBERT GENE GARZA PHARR — Robert Gene Garza, 30, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, in Huntsville, Texas. Born in McAllen, Robert had lived in Pharr all of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Eleazar Garza; maternal grandparents, Amado and Lucila Leos; and his paternal grandfather, Joel Garza. Robert is survived by his wife, Jennifer Garza; three children, Christian, Robert Gene II, Rylie Jene; his mother, Sylvia L. De La Cerda; stepfather, Jaime De La Cerda; two sisters, Koressa De La Cerda and Debra McCarty; two brothers, Eric De La Cerda and Jaime De La Cerda Jr.; paternal grandmother, Nidia Torres; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, September 22, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013, at Destiny Through Christ Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
