Salvador Garza Jr.

SALVADOR GARZA, JR. PHARR – Salvador Garza, Jr., 68, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen. Born in Alamo, Texas, he had lived in Pharr most of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Salvador Garza, Sr.; and a brother, Eduardo “Eddie” Garza. Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Bertha Y. Garza, of Pharr; two children, Ricardo Javier (Brenda) Garza, of Orlando, Florida and Aida Maritza (Floyd) Garcia, of Pharr; two grandchildren, Matthew Sal Sustaita and Airon Jordan Garcia; his mother, Maria Garza, of Alamo; two sisters, Aurora Rios, of Edinburg and Sandra Calles, of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Roberto Garza, of Alamo and Ernesto Garza, of Austin, Texas; parents-in-law, Valdemar and Jessie Gomez; and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary was held Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Eddie Perez, Joe Infante, Rudy Canche, Philip Perez, Rick Diaz and Ben Balli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
