SERAFIN GOMEZ GARZA McAllen/Mexico- Serafin Gomez Garza passed away on September 6, 2012 in Mexico City, Mexico. He was born March 3, 1928 to Serafin and Maria Gomez Garza in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Mr. Gomez Garza is preceded in death by his sister Maria Luisa Gomez de Ayala and grandson Luis Alberto Gomez. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Albesa Villarreal Gomez; his six children, Serafin (Sylvia Loudres) Gomez III, Luis Carlos (Pat) Gomez, Armando (Doreen) Gomez, Hector Raul (Pam) Gomez, Norma “Abby” Gomez and Maria (Trainor) Gomez-White; a brother Juan Manuel Gomez Garza, Monterrey, NL, Mexico. Mr. Gomez Garza also leaves nine surviving grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A rosary was held Friday, September 7, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, September 8, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
