Ivan Garza, Sr.

Edinburg – Ivan Garza, Sr. 66, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Estella Garza; his grandparents, Bernardo Salazar and Celia Posas Salazar; and a brother, Marcos Reynaldo Garza, Jr.
Mr. Garza is survived by his children, Adrian (Jessica) Garza of Edinburg, Andrew (Mia Guerra) Garza of Mission, Ivan Garza, Jr. of Edinburg, Laurissa Amanda Garza of Weslaco; 10 grandchildren; mother of his three children, Lilia Valle of Edinburg; four siblings, Irma Duran of Weslaco, Lina Reyna of Harlingen, Diana Perez of Houston, and Gloria Nieto of La Sara, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Garza, Andrew Garza, Ivan Garza, Jr., Miguel Gallegos, Alex De La Garza, and Gustavo Garza.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
