Nestor Garza, Sr.

NESTOR GARZA SR.
ALAMO – Nestor Garza, Sr. or “Papa Garza”, as he was
affectionately called, went home to the Lord Saturday, August
7, 2021, at The Heights of Alamo at the age of 89.
Papa Garza lived a good long life and lived it his way.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Linda Garza of
Alamo; four children, Melda (Kelly) Hazel of Alexandria, VA,
Elma Amigo of San Diego, CA, Nestor Garza II of Alamo, Ernesto
(Lizette) Garza of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren; a great-
grandchild; and a brother, Aurelio Garza of San Isidro, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary
Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San
Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday,
August 12, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral
Home in San Juan.
