EDINBURG- Betty Jane Gilliam, 82, died Thursday November 12, 2009 at Las Palmas Healthcare Center in McAllen.
Born in Teague, Texas and formerly of Agua Dulce, Texas she had lived in Edinburg since 1970. Mrs. Gilliam was a secretary for the Agua Dulce School District and the Texas Citrus Exchange in Mission. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Edinburg,
Mrs. Gilliam is survived by her husband Joe Eddie Gilliam of Pharr, two sons, Michael Dennis (Barbara) Gilliam of Los Angeles, California and Larry Joseph (Diana) Gilliam of Florence, Kentucky; two grandsons, Ross Leary Gilliam and Austin Raleigh Gillaim both of San Marcos, Texas; a granddaguther, Chelsea Leigh Gilliam of Boston, Ma; a sister, Emma Gertrude Tuley of Austin, Texas.
Funeral service wil be at 10:30 am today, November 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Graveside service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague, Texas.
Funeral services are under the dierection of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
