AMELIA GOMEZ ALAMO – Amelia Gomez, 84, died, Monday, July 28, 2014, at McAllen Heart Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Victoriano Gomez; her parents, Juan and Adelaida Sanchez; four siblings, Teresa Banuelos, Juanita Ramirez, Juventino Sanchez and Jose Sanchez. Mrs. Gomez is survived by her three children, Maria Imelda (David) Garza of Garland, TX, Juventino (Norma) Gomez of Rowlett, TX, Victoria Gomez of Alamo; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Paula Sanchez Treto and Maria Sanchez; two brothers, Arturo Sanchez Treto and Lorenzo Sanchez Treto, all of Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, July 30, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
