Aurora G. Gomez

AURORA GARZA GOMEZ EDINBURG – Aurora Garza Gomez, 87, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg. She was born March 20, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Gomez Sr.; a daughter, Juana Irene Ramirez; her parents, Abelardo and Esther Garza; and a brother, Alfredo Garza. Mrs. Gomez is survived by her children, Ignacio Gomez Jr., Herlinda G. Guerrero, Jose Luis Gomez, Silvestre Gomez, Juventino Gomez, Virgilio Gomez, Ruben Gomez, Ricardo Gomez, Ester G. Torres; a sister, Gregoria Molano; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
