JUAN A. GOMEZ

LA VILLA – Juan A. Gomez, 72, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Born in Montemorelos, N.L., Mexico, Mr. Gomez was formerly of San Carlos and had lived in La Villa since 2002.

Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Gomez of La Villa; a son, Juan Antonio (Noelia) Gomez, Jr. of La Blanca; three daughters, Ana Elva (Joe) Sepulveda, Diana (Guadalupe) Padron, Maria Guadalupe (Javier) Morales, all of Edinburg; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Teodoso Gomez, Jr., Guadalupe Gomez, both of Edinburg, Esiquiel Gomez of Morton, Texas; and four sisters, Janie Gomez, Maria Luisa Banda, Maria Del Refugio Uolloa and Celia Reyes, all of Edinburg.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, today, August 8, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
