MARIA C. GOMEZ PHARR – Maria C. Gomez, 86, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan B. Gomez; four sons, Juan Gomez Jr., Pedro Gomez, Jacinto Gomez and Martin Gomez. Mrs. Gomez is survived by four sons, David Gomez, Armando Gomez, Hugo (Gloria) Gomez, Jose Gerardo (Jessica) Gomez, all of Pharr; two daughters, Cesaria Auces, of Mexico, Sylvia (Robert) Martinez, of Buffalo, New York; 28 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Magic Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
