ENRIQUETA GONZALES
PHARR - Enriqueta Gonzales, 97, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at her residence in Pharr.
She was born in Fall City, Texas and had lived in Pharr most of her life. Ms. Gonzales owned E. Gonzales Grocery and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Bertha Gonzales; a daughter, Alma Angelica Almanza; three sisters, Rebecca Gonzalez, Raquel Gomez, Amanda Ramirez; and two brothers, Rutilo and Jose Gonzales.
Ms. Gonzales is survived by a son-in-law, Ascension Almanza, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Ascension Almanza, Jr., Jose C. Almanza, Bertha Villarreal, Mary Ann Molina, Alma Trevino, Hector Almanza, Carlos M. Almanza and David Almanza; 19 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary, today, June 1, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
