TIBURCIO GONZALES, JR. PHARR – Tiburcio Gonzales, Jr., 74, died Monday December 1, 2014, in La Feria. Born in Mercedes, he had lived in Pharr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio and Francisca Gonzales; and his wife, Maria Mercedes Pedraza Gonzales Mr. Gonzales is survived by three children, Joseph (Elisa) Gonzales of Ingleside, TX. Robert (Isabel) Gonzales of Chula Vista, CA. Belinda Gonzales Malone of Locust Grove, GA.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eleven siblings, Aurora (Carlos), Frances (Bill), Emilio (Marylou), Connie Cuellar, Eliberto (Grace), Janie (Edward), Jacinto (Monica), Vicky Gonzales, Eva Loya, Raquel (John), Ramon (Norma); numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 93 of Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
