AMADO “ El CUATE” GARCIA GONZALEZ
ALAMO – Amado “El Cuate” Garcia Gonzalez, 70, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
Mr. Gonzalez lived in Alamo his whole life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adan and Maria Luisa Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his four children, Amado (Lorena Zapata) Gonzalez, Sylvestre (Yvonne) Gonzalez, both of Alamo, Michelle (Demonds Saunders) Gonzalez of Mcallen, and Christy Gonzalez of Alamo; eight grandchildren; Thalia, Sylvestre, Jr., Brittney, Anthony, Cruz, Ashley, Chrissy, and Jeremiah; five siblings; Abel Gonzalez, Armantina Garcia, both of Alamo, Alicia Martinez of Rio Hondo, Aida Vega of Elgin, IL., and Adelina Peralez of Alamo and his former spouse; Francisca Zapata.
Visitation was held yesterday, December 15, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., today, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbeares will be Amado Gonzalez, Jr., Sylvestre Gonzalez, Lupe Martinez, Fausto Espinosa, Arturo Gonzalez and Arnold Gonzalez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
