ARMANDO “MANDO” GONZALEZ
EDINBURG – Armando “Mando” Gonzalez, 53, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in San Juan, Mr. Gonzalez had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Gonzalez; his grandmothers, Carmen Chasco, Eva Chasco; his grandfather, Domingo Chasco; and a niece, Alyssa M. Salinas.
Mando is survived by a son, Armando Gonzalez Jr.; his mother, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez; nine siblings, Ramiro (Esmeralda) Gonzalez Jr., Irma (Juan) Garza, Odilia (Deszi Zamarripa) Gonzalez, Rogelio Gonzalez, Abel (†Mary) Gonzalez, Oralia (Alejandro) Benitez, Juan J. (Maria De La Luz) Gonzalez, Imelda (Teofilo Jr.) Salinas, Maricelda (Kevin Burch) Gonzalez, all of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, July 8, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
