EDINBURG – Artemio Gonzalez, 85, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 9, 2010, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Los Guerras, Tamps., Mexico, Mr. Gonzalez had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by a son, Gorgonio Gonzalez; his parents, Gorgonio and Maria Gonzalez; three brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Josefina E. Gonzalez of Edinburg; two sons, Artemio (Roxanne) Gonzalez Jr. of Huntley, Illinois and Juan Jose (Elizabeth) Gonzalez of Edinburg; five daughters, Martha Magali Gonzalez of Austin, Texas, Maria H. (Jesus Jr.) Caltzontzint, Sandra L. (Carlos) Cantu and Anabelle Ramirez all of Edinburg and Blanca E. (Arnulfo) Soto of Weslaco; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Gonzalez and Edelia Gonzalez both of Cd. Miguel Aleman, Tamps. Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. today, April 11, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
