JOSE “JOE” GONZALEZ Edinburg - JOSE “JOE” GONZALEZ, 41, joined our gracious lord on June 30, 2015, at the Comfort House in McAllen. Joe’s final days were spent surrounded by his many family and friends all of which he touched throughout his short, yet very remarkable life. Joe had a passion for hunting, fishing, and watching the Houston Astros play. Joe was a true inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was an extremely devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was admired for all his wonderful qualities, which made him that incredible special person that he was. He was a loving, genuine, caring, witty, charming person with a big heart. Joe was a true friend and brother to all who knew him. His memory will be cherished for many years to come. The poet Yeats once wrote, “Think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was I had such friends." He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Gonzalez. Jose is survived by his father, Arnoldo Gonzalez, Sr.; a brother, Arnold (Anna) Gonzalez, Jr.; two nieces, Miranda Gonzalez and Mia Gonzalez; and his beloved dog, “Max” all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take Place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
