JOSEFINA ELIZONDO GONZÁLEZ EDINBURG – Josefina Elizondo González, 88, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. Born in Kennedy, TX, Mrs. González lived in Edinburg since 1982 and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Faysville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Artemio González; a son, Gorgonio González; three brothers, Roberto Elizondo, Luis Elizondo, Jose Martin Elizondo; five sisters, Genoveva Elizondo, Maria Luisa Pierce, Minerva Cordova, Olga Eulalia Galvan and Lucyita Elizondo. Josefina is survived by two sons, Artemio (Roxanne) González, Jr. of Huntley IL, Juan Jose (Elizabeth) González of Edinburg; five daughters, Martha Magali González of Austin, Maria Hermelinda (Jesus) Caltzontzint of Edinburg, Blanca Estela (Arnulfo) Soto of Weslaco, Sandra Luz (Carlos) Cantu of Edinburg, Anabelle Ramírez of San Antonio; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elvira Garcia of Pharr, Lucia Alanis and Hermelinda Garcia, both of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Faysville. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
