McAllen - Maria Reyes Gonzalez, 79, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Hidalgo, Mrs. Gonzalez had lived in McAllen all of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Del Rosario Moreno; her mother, Camila De La Fuente; two brothers, Jesus Castillo, Francisco Gonzalez; three sisters, Maria Luisa Noser, Yolanda Flores, Otila Munguia; and an aunt, Maria Castillo Munguia.
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by four sons, Rodolfo (Margarita) Beltran, Andres Moreno, Norberto Moreno, Jaime Gonzalez; three daughters, Violeta Martinez, Cirila Quintanilla, Evangelina (Rogelio) Villanueva; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Juan Gonzalez, Maximiliano Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez; and two sisters, Santos Moreno and Christina Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, August 3, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 am, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
