EDINBURG - Martin A. Gonzalez, 27, went home to our Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Laredo, TX, Martin had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
Martin was a proud father. His one wish was to be a great dad, and his son, Xean, was his greatest joy. Martin was also a loving son, brother, and friend. He impacted the lives of many and did not hesitate to help friends and family at moment's notice. Martin treated all his friends as family and welcomed everyone with an open heart. He loved the Houston Texans and especially loved making memories with his family at their games.
Martin had recently accomplished his goal of becoming a barber. He loved his new job, at VersaStyle and was very grateful for the guidance of his peers and mentors.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, bright spirit, and the immense love he gave to others.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juan and Gloria Puig of Hebbronville; and his paternal grandfather, Domingo Gonzalez of Ben Bolt.
Martin is survived by his loving son, Xean Domingo Gonzalez of Edinburg; his parents, Linda and Jaime Gonzalez of Edinburg; two sisters, Laura (Hunter) Flanagan of Corpus Christi, Veronica (Juan Gomez) Gonzalez of San Antonio; and his paternal grandmother, Julia Gonzalez of Ben Bolt, TX.
