MARY C. GONZALEZ PHARR – Mary C. Gonzalez, 85, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at McAllen Heart Hospital. Born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Mrs. Gonzalez lived in Pharr most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lougarda Cunningham; three brothers, Fred “Kayo”: Cunningham, Jay Cunningham, and James Echave. Mary is survived by her husband, Alberto “Beto” T. Gonzalez of Pharr; two children, Albert L. (Elia) Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX and Gloria Jean (Rudy) Zamora of Edinburg; four grandchildren, Sandee Zamora of Edinburg, Albert L. (Phillis) Gonzalez, Jr. of El Paso, TX, Laura Lynn ( Ricky) Teepe of La Port, TX, and Rudy Zamora, Jr. of Edinburg; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; and her niece, Suzy Cunningham. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, February 8, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
