MIGUEL CHAVEZ GONZALEZ SAN JUAN - Miguel Chavez Gonzalez, 76, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Grand Terrace Nursing Home in McAllen. Born in Mendez, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Gonzalez lived in San Juan most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Flores Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by nine children, Olga (Rene) Montalvo of Castroville, Texas, Zoraida Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas, Miguel Angel (Lorraine) Gonzalez of Round Rock, Texas, Mandy (Jody McIntyre) Massoudian of Rio Hondo, Texas, Maria Dutchover of Kingwood, Texas, Joe (Rachael Freyman) Gonzalez of Weslaco, Pam Olivarez of Mission, Argelio Gonzalez of San Juan, and Veronica (Jim) Motrinec of Miami, Florida; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Ismael Gonzalez and Bonifacio Gonzalez; two sisters, Juanita Davila and Paulita Chavez. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7p.m. rosary, today, July 5, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. The family wishes to express gratitude to the physicians and to his many caregivers at the Grand Terrace Nursing Home in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
