ROBERTO GONZALEZ, SR.
EDINBURG – Roberto Gonzalez Sr., 70, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, he had lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Gonzalez; and his father, Daniel Gonzalez.
Roberto is survived by four children, Sandra (Edgar) Cantu of Edinburg, Roberto (Cynthia) Gonzalez Jr. of McAllen, Melissa (Jose) Escamilla of San Antonio, David Gonzalez of Edinburg; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Arlette, Johnny, Alainey, David, Adrian, Anthony and Allyson; his mother, Maria de Jesus Gonzalez; four brothers, Rafael Gonzalez, Efrain Gonzalez, Agustin Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez; and three sisters, Yolanda Gonzalez, Rosa Salinas and Elena Trevino, all of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
