Adela R. Granado, 87, went home to our Lord Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, she lived there most of her life. She was a lifetime member of Capilla de San Jose in Lull and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. (Church was her life.) Adela was a family oriented woman that took delight in spending quality time with her family and friends. Everyone that visited Mrs. Granado always had a warm welcome to her home. Her charisma and smile will be missed forever by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Esequiel “Cheque” Granado.
Mrs. Granado is survived by six children, Belia (Gloria) Granado, Zeke (Jane) Granado, Jr., Juanita Granado, Sonia (Javier) Badillo, Javier (Nora) Granado, Roberto (Pamela) Granado, all of Edinburg; seven grandchildren, Christina (Jimmy), David, Laura, Alyssa, Cynthia, Analisa, Gabrianne; two great-grandchildren, Eric, Emily. Y Silvia Rico quien se dedicó a cuidarla y hacerle compañía por los últimos 15 anos.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 26, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
