EDINBURG – Pedro Guerra, 81, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Mexico, Mr. Guerra had lived in Edinburg since 1987.
He is preceded in death by a son, Sergio Guerra; his parents, Ramon and Virginia Guerra; four sisters, Gabina, Maria Alicia, Petra and Violeta.
Mr. Guerra is survived by his wife, Concepcion Guerra; eleven children, Jose (Graciela) Guerra, Sara (Severiano) Rosales, Clemente (Sylvia) Guerra, Juan Guerra, Daniel Guerra, Felipe (Janie) Guerra, Sonia (Hector) Ventura, all of Edinburg, Silvia (Carlos) Vanegas of Houston, Sandra (Daniel) Casarez, Susana Guerra, Pedro (Veronica) Guerra, all of Edinburg; 31 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Juan Guerra of Pharr, Ramon Guerra of California, Daniel Guerra of Pharr and Rumaldo Guerra of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
