EDINBURG - Jorge M. Guerrero, 61, died on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, Mr. Guerrero lived in Edinburg all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Angelita M. Alvarez.
Mr. Guerrero is survived by his wife, Eudelia Guerrero, of Edinburg; three children, Jorge (Sophia) Guerrero, Jr., Veronica (Rogelio De La Garza) Guerrero, and Lucinda (Nicolas Borjas) Guerrero, all of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Angel De La Garza, Alyssa Borjas, Aisha Borjas, Dalilah Guerrero, and Rebecah Guerrero; two brothers, Heliberto Pina and Trinidad Pina; and a sister, Rebecca Pina, all of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 27, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Military honors will be conducted by Sgt. Benito Alaniz, VFW Post 7473 of Elsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
