JUAN “LA MULA “ GUERRERO ALAMO – Juan “La Mula” Guerrero, 84, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at his residence in Alamo. Born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, he had lived in Alamo all of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Candelaria Guerrero, his parents, Alberto and Juanita Guerrero, a sister, Agustina Chavez; three brothers, Seferino, Jesus and Florencio Guerrero. Mr. Guerrero is survived by a daughter, Criselda (Francisco) Santillan of Alamo; four grandchildren, Frank Santillan, of San Antonio, Maribel (Ray) Garza, of San Juan, Amanda (Armando) Montes, of Edinburg, Juan Carlos Santillan, of Orange Park, FL.; five great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Ashlyn, Armando Jr., Draven, Aryssa; and a brother, Jose Blanco Guerrero, of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 24, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
