MANUEL GUERRERO EDINBURG - Manuel Guerrero, 87, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Mission, Mr. Guerrero had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juliana C. Guerrero; a grandson, Juan Manuel Bargas; a great-granddaughter, Bethany Sofia Tyler; and his parents, Antonio Guerrero and Maximina Chapa. Manuel is survived by six children, Maria Guadalupe (Juan) Bargas of Edinburg, San Juana Sedgwick of Lackwood, New Jersey, Jorge Luis (Aurelia) Guerrero, Rebeca (Don Staples) Guerrero, both of Edinburg, Rodolfo (Elizabeth) Guerrero of San Antonio, TX, Arnoldo (Nancy) Guerrero of Edinburg; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a 11 a.m. memorial service Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
