SAN JUAN - Marina Vargas Guerrero, 52, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence in San Juan.
Born in Linares, N.L., Mexico, Mrs. Vargas had lived in San Juan since 1994 and was a member of Centro Cristiano Rey de Reyes in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Mauricio Guerrero Moreno; and her father, Jose Guerrero Cerda.
Mrs. Vargas is survived by her husband, Martimiano "Martin" Vargas, Jr.; three children, Maricela (Habacuc) Arellanos, Martimiano Vargas III, Mario Vargas, all of San Juan; a grandson, Moises Arellanos; her mother, Guadalupe Moreno Guerrero of Linares, N.L., Mexico; three sisters, Blanca Alicia Delgado Guerrero of Linares, N.L., Mexico, Maria Bazan of Pharr, Lydia Onofre of San Juan; and four brothers, Ernesto Guerrero of San Juan, Jose Luis Guerrero of Matamoros, Mexico, Jaime Guerrero and Genaro Guerrero, both of Linares, N.L., Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, today, January 25, 2011 and from 1 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
