GUMARO LUNA
EDINBURG – Gumaro Luna, 87, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 25, 2023, at San Juan Nursing Home. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Isabel Luna; parents, Gustavo and Antonia Luna; two brothers, Gonzalo Luna, Jesus Luna; two sisters, Gloria Rodriguez, America Garcia. 

Mr. Luna is survived by his four children, Rogelio Luna of Washington, Rebecca (David) Corpus, Abel (Alma) Luna both of Edinburg, Cynthia (Sal) Rodriguez of Pharr; ten grandchildren, Cesar (Jeri Lynn) Luna, Veronica (Jason) Wohl, David (Lilyvettee) Corpus, Esteban Celso (Sandra) Corpus, Crystal (Ivan) Lopez, Claudia (Jacob) Mickle, Sophia (Jacob Sugden) Luna, Carlos Luna, Isabella S. Rodriguez, Sal H. Rodriguez; seven great-grandchildren, Emily Corpus, Esteban C. Corpus Jr., Matthew Corpus, Ivan M. Lopez, Chelsea Grace Lopez, Braiden Luna, Oliver Wohl; three brothers, Ricardo Luna, Oscar Luna, Romeo Luna; three sisters, Mary Ramirez, Zulema Garcia, and Lucia Garcia. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at First Baptist Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
