JULIA GUTIERREZ EDINBURG - Julia Gutierrez, 76, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Ms. Gutierrez lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a very loving and caring mother as well as grandmother. Julia enjoyed keeping busy and working at HEB where she was employed for eight years before she fell ill. She will be greatly missed. Julia is preceded in death by her son, Arnoldo Narvaiz; and a sister, Leonor Gutierrez Casas. She is survived by a daughter, Mirella Bonifaz; son-in-law, Jose Rigoberto Escobar; two grandchildren, Christian Escobar and Iliana Escobar; a brother, Rafael Gutierrez; and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary was held Friday, June 7, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. today, June 8, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
